If you had an existing account prior to your application integrating with WBKey and can no longer login, it may mean that you need to create a new WBKey account. The following steps will be required to regain access to your application.

To create a WBKey account and login for the first time:

Request Access: Visit the WBKey-supported application and follow the application's access request/registration process (this may be required even if you had an existing account prior to WBKey). The access request/registration process will vary from application to application. The minimum information required to create a WBKey account is: (1) verified email address, (2) first name, (3) last name, and (4) password.
Sign In: Once your WBKey account is approved for access to the application, click the Sign In button/link within the given application. You will be redirected to the WBKey sign-in page.
Account Credentials: Enter your email address and click the "Continue" button. On the next screen, enter your password and click the "Continue" button. If you need to reset your password, please click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the remaining prompts on the screen.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): To further enhance the security of your account, you will be prompted enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This is an extra layer of protection that helps ensure that only you can access your account, even if your password is compromised. You will first be asked to select a MFA method, which will be saved for future sign-ins. Based on your selection, you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the MFA process.
Accepting Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy: Next, you'll be asked to review and agree to the Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy. These documents outline the terms and conditions for using WBKey, Water Board systems, and how your data will be handled. It's important to read them carefully and, if you agree, accept them.
Security Questions: As an additional security measure, you will be asked to provide answers to three security questions. These questions are meant to verify your identity in case you need to reset your MFA or access your account in the future. Choose questions that you can easily remember the answers to.
Once you've completed these steps, you will be signed into your application!

Following the above initial sign-in process, future sign-ins will only consist of the following steps:

Account Credentials: After clicking Sign In/Log In on your application, you will be redirected to the WBKey sign-in page. Enter your email address and click the "Continue" button. On the next screen, enter your password and click the "Continue" button. If you need to reset your password, please click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the remaining prompts on the screen.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Based on your original selection for MFA method, you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the MFA process.
Sign In: Once you've completed these steps, you will be signed into your application! Your account is now more secure and streamlined, allowing you to access any app that supports WBKey integration with ease.
